Make a difference by volunteering with UMAR! With programs all across Western North Carolina in residential, community, employment and artistic settings there are lots of opportunities to share your talents. Support the growth and independence of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by getting involved today!

Here are few ways you or a group can help:

• Teach someone a new skill such as cooking, computers or a musical instrument.
   

• Help out with art projects or yard work.
   

• Invite program participants to sporting or entertainment events.
   

• Throw a party or drop off dinner at a group home.
   

• Plan a movie or game night.
