Flip Flop Hop
On May 16, UMAR's Charlotte Region
hosted a "Flip Flop Hop" for residents at Mt. Zion United Methodist
Church in Cornelius. Many thanks to Mt. Zion, Bubba's BBQ and the
numerous other donors that made the Hawaiian-themed event a time to
remember! |

2008 Friends of UMAR Luncheon
The 14th Annual Friends of UMAR Luncheon was held February 21 at
Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte. Nearly 500 guests
were in attendance and this year's event raised over $100,000 in
donations! Many thanks to all who attended! |

UMAR ARTS Program
In Jan. 2008, we opened the UMAR ARTS
Program in Charlotte's NoDa District on the grounds of Spencer
Memorial United Methodist Church. The program allows adults with
developmental disabilities to learn various art mediums such as
watercolors, acrylics, pottery and photography, and display their
artwork for sale. |

Grounds Maintenance
UMAR provides grounds maintenance services
for our group homes, area businesses, churches and other service
agencies. Each crew employs individuals with and without
developmental disabilities. Please call for a bid on our services! |
